The New Year!

Wow its definitely a while since I left (abandon) this blog, I m still making those yummy goods but just too lazy to post them up. With the new year here, I'll again try to make an effort to post some projects I been working on.

I think I have always enjoyed Tiramisu, and I made one with my school recipe, it was amazing and made my head spin ( added too much Brandy-lolz woops)

Then there I was craving for some Nutella one day and found some extremely ripe banana lying around the kitchen table.

For one of our church parties, I have decided to make cupcakes with bows of top.
These candies definitely reminds me of my younger years.

So one day I went to Olive Garden with a few friends, we had a triple chocolate cheesecake (forgot the name) for dessert and because I liked so much, I decide to make one myself.
I was so hungry so I ate most of it and realize I forgot to take a picture of it lolz.

layer from bottom up -> chocolate cake -> chocolate mousse -> mascarpone cream -> chocolate ganache -> chocolate chips (white, milk, dark)

Here's a big party favorite - Red Velvet cupcake w/ cream cheese frosting!
I'm a firm believer on how the frosting can either make or break a good cupcake.
Lucky enough I found a real good cream cheese frosting recipe lying around the house.
I had some strawberry in my fridge so I cut it up and lay some on top of my cupcakes.

This is from a very recent company party, and since I saw that blueberries were on sale LOL (sorry I'm a cheapo), I decided to go for blueberry cupcakes.
This is a blueberry cupcake (there's blueberry inside the cupcake lolz) topped off with blueberry, raspberry (those raspberry were expensive but I guess it looks good on top) and a piece of green looking mint =)

Have a wonderful new year!

Retirement party!

Last week I made some cupcakes for a co-worker's retirement party
(btw sorry for the bad quality pictures)

When I think of retirement, first thing comes to mind is VACATION!!!!
looks like these bears are enjoying themselves. This is not my idea, I saw this cute idea online.

This goes back to my old chef's saying "Less is More"
I could have made these with a lot more flowers, but they definitely stand out more with a white background. Still love it =)

First post... YAY!

Helllo, this is Dough boy aka dough dough head and this is my journal. My journal will record all the pastry creations I have attempted so far and a brief description of them. Please enjoy!

I made this for a friend's wedding a few months ago

Superman cupcakes for a co-worker's birthday...
handcut every piece of the superman sign,
definitely a lot of labor

These I made for a friend, it was a new experience for me
but the outcome were amazing, now only if the colors were a little darker.

These I made for fun
I guess they can be call Mouse-Bear

Some of my favorites, I made it for a coworker's baby shower
They were pretty labor intensive but at the end, they were worth the effort!

Another creation for my friend's baby shower,
super labor intensive stuff, the body is twix candy bar.
Head and blankie are all rolled fondant.
Love how they turned out, most people opted to eat the head first lolz.
